How it is built
Built in the chair, not in the kiln
Composite veneers are crafted directly onto the tooth surface using tooth-coloured resin, sculpted and polished to refine shape, shade and minor alignment. They are a conservative, single-visit aesthetic option.
Composite is layered onto the tooth in one or two visits. Faster and easier to repair than porcelain, and less stain-proof. A fair trial smile, or the right choice when the brief is modest.
Minimal prep
The aim is conservative enamel reduction, not a hidden crown.
Try-in first
You see the shape on the teeth before it is bonded for good.
Named ceramic
E.max or feldspathic porcelain is written on the plan, not ‘premium shell’.
Typical stay
2–4 days
Visits
Often completed in one visit
Caring for your result
Immediate result; avoid staining foods and drinks for 48 hours
Suitability
Modest aesthetic changes, chips or a trial smile at a lower cost
What we coordinate
Shade selection, chairside sculpting and polishing
Materials & plans
The ceramic is named on the plan
E.max, zirconium and composite are not interchangeable. The preview decides.
Laminate / e.max
High translucency for front teeth that still have enough enamel.
Zirconium
When a tooth needs a full cap, not only a face, that is a crown.
Composite
Built in the chair. Faster, more modest, easier to repair, less stain-proof.
The Process
Scan, try-in, then bond
Most ceramic smiles finish in one stay of about five to eight days when the laboratory is in the week.
- 01
Smile design consultation and shade selection
- 02
Minimal surface preparation where needed
- 03
Composite sculpted and layered onto the tooth
- 04
Shaping, polishing and final review
Usually one stay
Preview before you fly if photos allow; clinical days plus rest in Antalya.
Before
Photos and a preview
You send photos and history. A digital or analogue mock-up is discussed before enamel is prepared.
In Antalya
Prepare, laboratory, try-in
Scan, conservative prep where indicated, temporaries, then the try-in you can reject.
Bonding day
Shade in daylight, bite check
Final cementation and a written aftercare sheet before VIP transfer to the airport.
Compared with
Which ceramic, and when
Front teeth often want light through them. Back teeth often want strength. The plan can mix.
| Option | Covers | Prep | Look |
|---|---|---|---|
| Laminate veneer | Front face | Minimal enamel | Very natural light |
| E.max veneer/crown | Face or full | Case by case | High translucency |
| Zirconium crown | Whole tooth | More reduction | Strong, slightly denser |
| Composite | Front face | Often none / little | Good, less ceramic |
Typical ranges, not a promise. Individual results vary and cannot be guaranteed.
The first days in ceramic
Sensitivity is common and usually fades. The try-in is not the time to be polite about shade.
First 48 hours
Usually fine: Softer, not ice-cold
Avoid: Staining drinks if you still have unbonded teeth
First weeks
Usually fine: Normal with care
Avoid: Biting pens, ice, bottle caps
Long term
Usually fine: A normal diet
Avoid: Skipping a night guard if you clench
Do
- Say if the try-in is too white or too bulky
- Use a night guard if you clench
- Keep reviews at home
Don’t
- Expect veneers to be reversible
- Use teeth as tools
- Skip hygiene around the margins
Maintain daily hygiene, avoid biting hard objects, and attend periodic polish and review visits to keep the finish looking fresh.
Global material standards
Certified, original systems on your treatment plan
Every implant and ceramic brand to be used is named on your written outline. Before you travel, you know which recognised materials are planned.
The pieces
What you are looking at
Tap a part to keep it in focus. The explanation stays on the page. Nothing essential is hover-only.
Composite resin: A tooth-coloured filling material layered and light-cured on the enamel. It is not fired ceramic.
Who it is for
Typical patterns, not a diagnosis. Imaging and the dental team write the real plan.
Who it is for
- Colour, shape or small chips on visible teeth that are otherwise healthy enough to prepare.
- Able to stay 5–8 days for preparation, laboratory work, try-in and bonding.
When we pause
- Heavy grinding that has not been discussed, or teeth that need a crown for strength rather than a thin shell.
- A catalogue smile chosen from a photograph of someone else.
A typical stay
Day 1
Photography and mock-up
Shade tabs in real light. A trial smile before enamel is prepared.
Day 2
Preparation
Conservative reduction, temporaries, laboratory prescription.
Days 3–6
Try-in, then bond
You approve shade and shape in the chair. Only then is it bonded.
The first 48 hours
- Mild sensitivity is common. Avoid very hot, very cold and staining drinks until advised.
- Do not pick at the margins. If a bite feels high, message us, do not wait for a crack.
Honest limits
Veneers change enamel. They are not paint. Healthy teeth can still be the wrong case if the bite is hostile.
Composite is faster and more reversible. Ceramic is more colour-stable. Neither is “better” in the abstract.
Named on the plan
Ceramics
Ivoclar e.max and VITA zirconium among the laboratory ceramics we specify: photographed, tried in, then bonded.
Bonding
Isolation, try-in paste, then a Solventum (3M) adhesive protocol so the tooth you approved is the tooth that is seated.
Ask before you book
- 01How much enamel will be prepared, and what happens if I later want them off?
- 02Will I see a try-in before bonding, in daylight, not only under the lamp?
The visit
Before, in the chair, and after
Sequences vary. Your written plan names the order for your mouth, not a catalogue.
Before
A fair brief
Composite is layered in the chair. Faster than porcelain, easier to repair, less stain-proof. If you need a “set and forget” ceramic, say so before the visit is booked.
During
One or two sessions
Isolation, layering, shaping, polish. No kiln. You see the result the same stay. Shade is a conversation under more than one light.
After
Polish, not neglect
Coffee, wine and smoking return colour. Small repairs are normal over years. That is the material, not a failure of the dentist.
Planning
What shapes this plan
None of these replace a clinical assessment. They are the questions the dental team actually uses.
- 01
How stain-prone your diet and smoking are, composite picks up colour faster than porcelain
- 02
Whether you want a reversible trial smile or a longer-term ceramic
- 03
Chip size and whether bonding can stay conservative
- 04
How often you can see a dentist at home for polish and repair
- 05
Bite on the edges: composite chips sooner under grinding
Treatment planning before you travel
Composite is chairside sculpture, not a laboratory laminate. The plan still starts with photos and shade so you know what a conservative change can and cannot do before you travel.
What you can expect
Often completed in one or two chair sessions during a short stay. Easier to repair than porcelain, more prone to stain over time. Aftercare includes polish visits.
A typical stay in Antalya
A 2–4 day stay is typical. If you are combining bonding with other aesthetic work, the outline stretches the diary so nothing is rushed.
Dental travel
Planning this treatment in Antalya
You arrange the flight. Trip4Smile coordinates the plan, VIP transfer, stay support and follow-up around the dental team’s work.
01
Say the brief
Trial smile, a small chip, or a longer composite makeover. The stay length follows the brief.
02
Short stay
Often one or two days of chair time. VIP transfer still applies if we coordinate the visit.
03
See it before you fly home
No kiln wait. If the shape is wrong, it can often be adjusted the same stay.
04
Home dentist
A note on material and polish interval for whoever sees you next.
Treatment FAQ
How do composite veneers differ from porcelain veneers?
Composite is applied directly in a single visit and is easier to repair, while porcelain is made in a lab and is more stain-resistant. The right choice depends on your goals and budget.
How long do they last?
With good care, composite veneers typically last several years, though they may chip or stain sooner than porcelain. Periodic polishing helps. Individual results vary.
Is the tooth shaved down?
Composite veneers usually need little to no enamel removal, making them a more conservative option than porcelain veneers.
Can they be repaired if they chip?
Yes. Composite can often be patched or re-sculpted in a single visit without replacing the whole veneer.
Composite or porcelain veneers?
Porcelain is more stain-resistant and usually needs enamel reduction. Composite is faster, repairable in the chair, and picks up colour sooner. Neither is universally “better”.
Do composite veneers need drilling?
Often less than porcelain, sometimes almost none on small chips. The dentist still shapes enamel if bulk would look fake. Conservatism is a judgement, not a slogan.
Can they be a trial before porcelain?
Sometimes, yes: a way to test length and shape. Say that is the brief so the composite is designed to be replaced later, not fought over.
Will they match my other teeth?
Shade is mixed in the chair. Lighting and neighbouring ceramics matter. Existing crowns will not change colour to meet the composite.
What stains them fastest?
Coffee, red wine, smoking and some mouthwashes. A polish visit is cheaper than pretending the material is porcelain.
Who performs the dental treatment?
Licensed dental professionals at partner clinics in Antalya. Trip4Smile coordinates planning, VIP transfer and follow-up. We are not the treating clinic.
Can international patients receive this treatment?
Yes. We coordinate for patients who fly in. Photos and history come first; a written plan is sent before you book a ticket.
How is my treatment planned before I travel?
You share smile photos, any recent X-rays and your goals. The dental team reviews the file. You receive stages, a typical stay and what is not included.
How long should I stay in Antalya?
It depends on the case. For Composite Veneers, a typical stay is 2–4 days. Your written plan names the days for your situation.
What happens after treatment?
You leave with written aftercare. The same coordinator stays reachable once you are home. Your local dentist can use the summary we send.
