How it is built

A thin shell on the front of the tooth

Veneers are ultra-thin porcelain shells custom-made to cover the front surface of teeth, addressing shape, colour and minor alignment concerns.

Laminate veneers cover the visible face. They need some enamel reduction and are not reversible. A try-in exists so shade and shape are agreed in daylight.

01

Minimal prep

The aim is conservative enamel reduction, not a hidden crown.

02

Try-in first

You see the shape on the teeth before it is bonded for good.

03

Named ceramic

E.max or feldspathic porcelain is written on the plan, not ‘premium shell’.

Typical stay

5–8 days for preparation, try-in and fitting

Visits

Usually a single stay; refinements if needed

Caring for your result

Mild sensitivity for a few days; most people resume normal eating quickly

Suitability

Colour, shape or small alignment changes on visible front teeth

What we coordinate

Shade matching, preparation, laboratory veneers, try-in and bonding

Materials & plans

The ceramic is named on the plan

E.max, zirconium and composite are not interchangeable. The preview decides.

01

Laminate / e.max

High translucency for front teeth that still have enough enamel.

02

Zirconium

When a tooth needs a full cap, not only a face, that is a crown.

03

Composite

Built in the chair. Faster, more modest, easier to repair, less stain-proof.

The Process

Scan, try-in, then bond

Most ceramic smiles finish in one stay of about five to eight days when the laboratory is in the week.

  1. 01

    Smile design consultation

  2. 02

    Minimal preparation and impressions

  3. 03

    Trial smile for preview

  4. 04

    Bonding of final veneers

Usually one stay

Preview before you fly if photos allow; clinical days plus rest in Antalya.

Before

Photos and a preview

You send photos and history. A digital or analogue mock-up is discussed before enamel is prepared.

In Antalya

Prepare, laboratory, try-in

Scan, conservative prep where indicated, temporaries, then the try-in you can reject.

Bonding day

Shade in daylight, bite check

Final cementation and a written aftercare sheet before VIP transfer to the airport.

Compared with

Which ceramic, and when

Front teeth often want light through them. Back teeth often want strength. The plan can mix.

Typical ranges, not a promise. Individual results vary and cannot be guaranteed.

The first days in ceramic

Sensitivity is common and usually fades. The try-in is not the time to be polite about shade.

First 48 hours

Usually fine: Softer, not ice-cold

Avoid: Staining drinks if you still have unbonded teeth

First weeks

Usually fine: Normal with care

Avoid: Biting pens, ice, bottle caps

Long term

Usually fine: A normal diet

Avoid: Skipping a night guard if you clench

Do

  • Say if the try-in is too white or too bulky
  • Use a night guard if you clench
  • Keep reviews at home

Don’t

  • Expect veneers to be reversible
  • Use teeth as tools
  • Skip hygiene around the margins

Avoid biting hard objects, maintain hygiene and attend periodic polish and review visits.

Global material standards

Certified, original systems on your treatment plan

Every implant and ceramic brand to be used is named on your written outline. Before you travel, you know which recognised materials are planned.

  • VITA logo
  • Solventum logo
  • Nobel Biocare logo
  • Ivoclar logo
  • Straumann logo
  • Neodent: a Straumann Group brand logo
  • Medentika logo
  • Dentsply Sirona logo

The pieces

What you are looking at

Tap a part to keep it in focus. The explanation stays on the page. Nothing essential is hover-only.

Ceramic shell: A thin restoration bonded to the front of the tooth. It changes colour and shape; it is not a full crown.

Who it is for

Typical patterns, not a diagnosis. Imaging and the dental team write the real plan.

Who it is for

  • Colour, shape or small chips on visible teeth that are otherwise healthy enough to prepare.
  • Able to stay 5–8 days for preparation, laboratory work, try-in and bonding.

When we pause

  • Heavy grinding that has not been discussed, or teeth that need a crown for strength rather than a thin shell.
  • A catalogue smile chosen from a photograph of someone else.

A typical stay

  1. Day 1

    Photography and mock-up

Shade tabs in real light. A trial smile before enamel is prepared.

  2. Day 2

    Preparation

    Conservative reduction, temporaries, laboratory prescription.

  3. Days 3–6

    Try-in, then bond

You approve shade and shape in the chair. Only then is it bonded.

The first 48 hours

  • Mild sensitivity is common. Avoid very hot, very cold and staining drinks until advised.
  • Do not pick at the margins. If a bite feels high, message us, do not wait for a crack.
Read the aftercare protocol

Honest limits

Veneers change enamel. They are not paint. Healthy teeth can still be the wrong case if the bite is hostile.

Composite is faster and more reversible. Ceramic is more colour-stable. Neither is “better” in the abstract.

Named on the plan

Ceramics

Ivoclar e.max and VITA zirconium among the laboratory ceramics we specify: photographed, tried in, then bonded.

Bonding

Isolation, try-in paste, then a Solventum (3M) adhesive protocol so the tooth you approved is the tooth that is seated.

Ask before you book

  1. 01How much enamel will be prepared, and what happens if I later want them off?
  2. 02Will I see a try-in before bonding, in daylight, not only under the lamp?

The visit

Before, in the chair, and after

Sequences vary. Your written plan names the order for your mouth, not a catalogue.

  1. Before

    Preview, then commit

Photographs and, where used, a digital or mock-up preview. Preparation of enamel is usually irreversible. You should understand that before you fly.

  2. During

    Prepare, try-in, bond

A typical stay is several days: reduction, impressions or a scan, laboratory time, try-in, then bonding. Shade is agreed in daylight, not under a single lamp.

  3. After

    Care for ceramics

Mild sensitivity can last days. Avoid hard biting on the edges. Existing habits (grinding, nails, bottle caps) still break porcelain.

Planning

What shapes this plan

None of these replace a clinical assessment. They are the questions the dental team actually uses.

  1. 01

Enamel thickness: most porcelain veneers need a conservative reduction of the front surface

  2. 02

Bite, grinding and whether a night guard will be required after bonding

  3. 03

Colour goals versus what whitening alone could do without preparing teeth

  4. 04

Gum line symmetry and whether gums need treatment first

  5. 05

How many teeth actually show when you speak and smile, not a fixed “ten-tooth package”

Treatment planning before you travel

Photography and a smile preview happen before enamel is prepared. Shade, shape and how many teeth actually need a laminate are agreed in writing, not as a one-shade-fits-all white.

What you can expect

Minimal preparation, impressions or a scan, laboratory days, then a try-in you can reject. Bonding is last. Mild sensitivity for a few days is common.

A typical stay in Antalya

Many veneer plans finish in one stay of about five to eight days when the laboratory is on the calendar. You fly when the outline says the days fit.

Dental travel

Planning this treatment in Antalya

You arrange the flight. Trip4Smile coordinates the plan, VIP transfer, stay support and follow-up around the dental team’s work.

  1. 01

    Photos in rest and smile

Face-on, slightly open, and a wide smile. Goals in words: colour, length, “still look like me”.

  2. 02

    A 5–8 day shape

Laboratory time sits inside the stay. You book the flight; we place try-in and bonding so you are not stranded waiting for ceramic.

  3. 03

    Try-in is not vanity

Say if the length or shade is wrong before bonding. Changing after cement is another procedure.

  4. 04

    Home

A guard if prescribed, written care, and a message thread if an edge catches.

Treatment FAQ

Are veneers reversible?

They involve minimal removal of enamel, so the treatment is not reversible. This is discussed during your consultation.

How long do they last?

With good care, veneers typically last many years. They may eventually need replacement. Individual results vary.

Will my teeth look natural?

Yes. Shade and shape are matched to your features for a natural look. A trial smile lets you preview the result.

Do veneers stain?

Porcelain is highly stain-resistant, but good hygiene and limiting strong staining foods helps.

What are veneers?

Thin ceramic (or composite) coverings bonded mainly to the front of teeth to change colour, shape or small chips. They are not implants and they do not replace a missing root.

Veneers or crowns?

A veneer covers the front. A crown covers the whole tooth when walls are weak, a root canal has been done, or more strength is needed. The tooth’s remaining structure decides.

Veneers or whitening?

Whitening lifts shade on natural enamel and does not change shape. Veneers change colour and outline. Existing ceramics will not bleach; shade-match first if you already have crowns.

How many teeth need veneers?

As many as show when you speak and smile, judged from photographs, not a round number sold as a package.

How should veneers be cared for?

Ordinary hygiene, a night guard if you grind, and not using teeth as tools. Chips happen from habits more often than from “weak ceramic”.

Can veneers fix crooked teeth?

They can mask mild rotation. Significant crowding belongs to orthodontics first. Masking a large bite problem with ceramic is a shortcut that shows later.

Who performs the dental treatment?

Licensed dental professionals at partner clinics in Antalya. Trip4Smile coordinates planning, VIP transfer and follow-up. We are not the treating clinic.

Can international patients receive this treatment?

Yes. We coordinate for patients who fly in. Photos and history come first; a written plan is sent before you book a ticket.

How is my treatment planned before I travel?

You share smile photos, any recent X-rays and your goals. The dental team reviews the file. You receive stages, a typical stay and what is not included.

How long should I stay in Antalya?

It depends on the case. For Veneers, a typical stay is 5–8 days for preparation, try-in and fitting. Your written plan names the days for your situation.

What happens after treatment?

You leave with written aftercare. The same coordinator stays reachable once you are home. Your local dentist can use the summary we send.
