Treatments
Zirconium Crowns in Antalya: coordinated by Trip4Smile for international patients.
Metal-free aesthetic crowns with high strength, natural light transmission and biocompatibility.

How it is built
Zirconium crowns are strong, biocompatible restorations that combine durability with a natural appearance, suitable for both aesthetic and functional areas.
Zirconium covers the whole prepared tooth, not only the front. Strength is why it is used on back teeth and on teeth that have had root canal treatment. Light still passes; it is denser than e.max.
A crown, not a veneer. More tooth is prepared because more tooth is protected.
Bite force is the brief. Front teeth can use it too when a veneer would be too thin a solution.
No grey collar at the gum. Shade is still matched, not ‘universal white’.
5–8 days
Preparation and fit during one stay
Temporary crowns while the laboratory works; mild gum tenderness
Strength and a natural look on back or front teeth
Digital or conventional impressions, custom zirconium crowns, fit and bite check
Materials & plans
E.max, zirconium and composite are not interchangeable. The preview decides.
One damaged or root-treated tooth.
Several teeth, still planned as individual units with a shared shade.
The same ceramic can sit on an abutment. That is a different plan.
The Process
Most ceramic smiles finish in one stay of about five to eight days when the laboratory is in the week.
Assessment and shade selection
Tooth preparation and digital impressions
Temporary crown
Fit and cement final zirconium crown
Preview before you fly if photos allow; clinical days plus rest in Antalya.
Before
You send photos and history. A digital or analogue mock-up is discussed before enamel is prepared.
In Antalya
Scan, conservative prep where indicated, temporaries, then the try-in you can reject.
Bonding day
Final cementation and a written aftercare sheet before VIP transfer to the airport.
Compared with
Front teeth often want light through them. Back teeth often want strength. The plan can mix.
| Zirconium | E.max | PFM | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best for | Back + many fronts | Visible fronts | Budget / posterior |
| Light | Good | Excellent | Opaque, metal core |
| Strength | High | High in front, careful behind | High |
| Gum line | No metal collar | No metal collar | Grey risk if gum recedes |
Typical ranges, not a promise. Individual results vary and cannot be guaranteed.
Sensitivity is common and usually fades. The try-in is not the time to be polite about shade.
First 48 hours
Usually fine: Softer, not ice-cold
Avoid: Staining drinks if you still have unbonded teeth
First weeks
Usually fine: Normal with care
Avoid: Biting pens, ice, bottle caps
Long term
Usually fine: A normal diet
Avoid: Skipping a night guard if you clench
Normal hygiene, night guards if recommended and routine check-ups.
Global material standards
Every implant and ceramic brand to be used is named on your written outline. Before you travel, you know which recognised materials are planned.
The pieces
Tap a part to keep it in focus. The explanation stays on the page. Nothing essential is hover-only.
Zirconia cap: A strong ceramic that covers the prepared tooth on all visible sides.
Typical patterns, not a diagnosis. Imaging and the dental team write the real plan.
Day 1
Shade tabs in real light. A trial smile before enamel is prepared.
Day 2
Conservative reduction, temporaries, laboratory prescription.
Days 3–6
You approve shade and shape in the chair. Only then is it bonded.
Veneers change enamel. They are not paint. Healthy teeth can still be the wrong case if the bite is hostile.
Composite is faster and more reversible. Ceramic is more colour-stable. Neither is “better” in the abstract.
Ivoclar e.max and VITA zirconium among the laboratory ceramics we specify: photographed, tried in, then bonded.
Isolation, try-in paste, then a Solventum (3M) adhesive protocol so the tooth you approved is the tooth that is seated.
The visit
Sequences vary. Your written plan names the order for your mouth, not a catalogue.
Before
A zirconia crown covers the whole visible tooth after it is prepared. If a veneer would suffice, the outline should say so.
During
Reduction, scan or impression, a temporary, laboratory time, try-in, cementation. Stay length follows laboratory days.
After
Floss around the edge. A high bite is a same-week message, not something to “get used to” for months.
Planning
None of these replace a clinical assessment. They are the questions the dental team actually uses.
How much of the tooth is left. A crown wraps a prepared stump, it does not float
Whether the tooth has had a root canal and needs a post or core
Front-tooth translucency versus back-tooth strength; zirconia is chosen for a reason
Gum margin and how the edge will be hidden or shown when you smile
Bite force and grinding
Crowns are for teeth that need a cap, not a shortcut to a brighter smile. Assessment decides how many units, which ceramic and whether a veneer would be more conservative.
Preparation, temporaries while the laboratory works, then fit and bite check. Mild gum tenderness is common for a few days after cementation.
One coordinated stay of about five to eight days covers most zirconium cases when the lab is scheduled into the week.
Dental travel
You arrange the flight. Trip4Smile coordinates the plan, VIP transfer, stay support and follow-up around the dental team’s work.
01
Broken, root-treated, or replacing old caps. Photographs plus any X-ray of those teeth.
02
Temporary crowns while the mill works. You fly when the bite is signed off, not when a courier is late.
03
Front zirconia is photographed, not guessed from a ring in a windowless room.
04
Floss paths and a note if a night guard is indicated.
Zirconium is metal-free with natural translucency and strength, avoiding dark gum lines that metal can cause.
Shade is selected to blend with neighbouring teeth for a seamless look.
Zirconium is biocompatible and metal-free, making it a common choice for metal sensitivities.
After preparation and impressions, a temporary crown is fitted; the final crown is placed once ready.
A full-coverage restoration milled from zirconium dioxide ceramic. It is used when a tooth needs a complete cap, not only a front shell.
Zirconia is typically chosen for strength (often back teeth or heavy bite). E.max is a glass ceramic often chosen where translucency in the smile matters more. The position in the mouth decides, not fashion.
Modern zirconia can be layered or more translucent. Front teeth still need shade photography. “Grey stumps” are a planning failure, not a material destiny.
Only if the nerve is inflamed or the preparation would insult it. Crowns are not automatically paired with root canals.
A crown covers all sides of a prepared tooth. A veneer covers the front. Weak walls, large fillings or a root-treated tooth often need a crown.
Then the options are a core build-up, a post, extraction and an implant. Named after examination, not in this paragraph.
Licensed dental professionals at partner clinics in Antalya. Trip4Smile coordinates planning, VIP transfer and follow-up. We are not the treating clinic.
Yes. We coordinate for patients who fly in. Photos and history come first; a written plan is sent before you book a ticket.
You share smile photos, any recent X-rays and your goals. The dental team reviews the file. You receive stages, a typical stay and what is not included.
It depends on the case. For Zirconium Crowns, a typical stay is 5–8 days. Your written plan names the days for your situation.
You leave with written aftercare. The same coordinator stays reachable once you are home. Your local dentist can use the summary we send.
Neighbouring options people compare with this one, not a random list of every page.
Smile Gallery
Photographs are published only with the patient’s permission after a coordinated stay. The gallery is ready; cases appear as journeys complete.
